OnePlus 2 open sale to take place on October 12

OnePlus has some good news for those who haven't been able to get their hands on OnePlus 2. The company as annnounced that it will hold the first open sale for the OnePlus 2 in India on October 12 via Amazon India.

On October 12, OnePlus 2 will be available on Open sale via Amazon India between 12pm and 1pm without any invites. Only a single unit of OnePlus 2 will be available for each buyer. OnePlus on its forum noted that, it decided to go for an open sale to cater the fans who have been eagerly waiting to buy the OnePlus 2.

The one hour Open sale will also be held globally, that includes countries in Asia, Europe and North America where OnePlus 2 is available.

In an open sale you can purchase a device without any invite, so if you have been eagerly waiting to grab OnePlus 2 this is the time. Limited quantity will be offered and you should place the order before stock goes out due to the OnePlus 2's high demand. OnePlus also notes that due to high demand it will take time to process an order.

"As we are expecting high demand, the order processing days may differ from the normal times. Your estimated shipping timeframe will be displayed at checkout during the open sale." stated OnePlus on its forum.

The OnePlus 2 went on sale in India and other countries back in August for Rs. 24,999 ($329) via the invite only model, and only limited number of invites were made available.

OnePlus 2 features 5.5-inch 1080p display, octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, Oxygen OS based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, 13MP/5MP shooter, USB Type-C port, 4G LTE support, fingerprint sensor and 3300mAh battery.

OnePlus has also scheduled an event in Bangalore on October 12 to announce The Next Big Step.
