HP announces Envy 13, its thinnest notebook ever at 12.95mm

HP introduced the newest member of its Envy laptop family, HP Envy 13, touted as the company's thinnest laptop. The notebook is just 12.95mm thick and weighs just over 2.8 pounds.

The HP Envy 13 comes with a choice of 6th gen Intel Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 Skylake processors, up to 8GB RAM and up to 512GB of SSD. Display-wise, the Envy 13 comes with a 13-inch screen with Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) as well as Quad HD+ (3,200 x 1,800 pixels) display In-Plane Switching (IPS) options. It runs Windows 10.

For connectivity there is three USB 3.0 ports, one with HP Sleep and Charge, full sized HDMI port and a SD card reader. It has a 3-cell 45Whr Li-on polymer battery which offers up to 10 hours of battery life. 

Also on-board is HP TrueVision Webcam, backlit keyboard, fingerprint scanner allowing users to take advantage of Windows 10 biometric login scanner and dual speakers and audio tuned by Bang & Olufsen.

The HP Envy 13 is expected to go on sale on October 18 for the starting price of $849.99.
