Oppo R7s with 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display, 4GB RAM gets official
Oppo unveiled the Oppo R7s at the GITEX 2015 event in Dubai. It sports a premium magnesium aluminum unibody design, and a 2.5D Arc Edge display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
The Oppo R7s features a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Inside there is an 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 4GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, further expandable via microSD card. It runs Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The handset comes with hybrid SIM slot that supports a Micro-SIM and a Nano-SIM card (which can be replaced with a microSD card)
It is equipped with 13-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, PDAF, Sony IMX214 sensor, f/2.2 aperture. On the front there is 8-megapixel shooter for clicking selfies. On the connctivity front it supports 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. USB OTG is also supports. It is backed by a 3,070mAh battery, which supports VOOC Rapid Charge that fuels the battery up to 90 percent in 50 minutes.
The Oppo R7s comes in Golden and Silver colors and will initially go on sale in Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and MENA region, with U.A.E as hub, followed by a launch in Europe and the US in December. There’s no word on the phone’s price and availability in other Asian countries including India at the moment.
