Tag Heuer Android Wear to launch on November 9; offers a new teaser image
TAG Heuer announced their partnership with Intel and Google, in March this year to launch a watch with Intel's technology and Google's Android Wear software. Now the Luxury Swiss watch maker announced the launch date of its first Android Wear smartwatch. Dubbed Tag Heuer Connected, it is scheduled to launch on November 9 at the LVMH Tower in New York City
Tag Heuer Connected also has a dedicated website for the watch that says "Tag Heuer is pushing the Swiss avant-garde limits even further with the Tag Heuer Connected. Tradition meets innovation, craftsmanship meets savoir-faire, and bold style meets breakthrough technology. The clock is ticking to the major breakthrough."
The company also published a teaser image of the watch on its social media handles. The image shows what appears to be a circular metal face, a metal crown and a band made out of leather or rubber.
Jean-Claude Biver, the CEO of TAG Heuer, had earlier stated that the smartwatch will have battery life of about 40 hours and offer fitness tracking features and GPS location capabilities. It is expected to sell for about $1400. The smartwatch will be manufactured and assembled in Switzerland. Other details are scarce as of now.
