Toshiba dynaPad Windows 10 tablet announced
Toshiba unveiled a new Windows 10 product- dynaPad tablet, a 12-inch 2-in-1 device that's been made specifically for writing. Microsoft touts it to be a "great digital notebook specially designed to encourage your creativity, and also enhance productivity."
dynaPad has the Wacom Active Electrostatics (ES) TruPen that has 2,048 levels of pressure for high-precision writing on the tablet’s 12-inch diagonal WUXGA+ (1920 × 1280 pixels) IPS display with anti-reflection and anti-fingerprint coating.
It also has a detachable keyboard dock. Inside there is an Intel Atom processor clocked at 1.44GHz paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB of flash storage. It offers battery life of 7 hours.
Other features include 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, microSD card slot, micro HDMI port and two micro USB ports. It weighs about 1.25 pounds, while the tablet and keyboard combined weight is about 2.2 pounds, making it the lightest 12-inch 2-in-1 in the world, according to Toshiba.
Toshiba's dynaPad will go on sale first in Japan in December for the price of ¥130,000 ($1,100). It will be launched in the US and Europe sometime in early 2016.
