Honor smartphones to get Marshmallow update in February 2016
Huawei recently announced its Android 6.0 Marshmallow update plans for its smartphone in China. Now Huawei has provided a time frame for the Android Marshmallow update for the Honor range of smartphones for Indian customers.
According to Huawei, the Honor range smartphones will start getting the Android Marshmallow update starting February next year. The Honor 7 will be the first in line to receive the update, followed by Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6, Honor 4X and Honor 4C. The update should bring new EMUI interface, security features and more.
In related news, Huawei marketing executive, Xi Zhao, said that the company plans to beta test Android 6.0 Marshmallow on at-least one of its mobile device before releasing the stable version. He said that Honor 7 users should expect to see beta test for Android Marshmallow in a few weeks.
