OnePlus details Android 6.0 Marshmallow update plans
OnePlus has revealed the Android Marshmallow update plan for its smartphone, however, it didn't provide specific dates for the roll out, but revealed the time frame of the update.
As per OnePlus, it's first device, the OnePlus One will be getting Android Marshmallow update in Q1 2016. Cyanogen Inc. will be updating the OnePlus One to the latest build of CyanogenMod OS. OnePlus stated that it has created a community build of Oxygen OS for the OnePlus One and since it is not the ROM the device ships with, it will update the community build of Oxygen OS when time permits.
The OnePlus 2 will also get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in Q1 2016. The update will include the standard Marshmallow API for the fingerprint sensor. OnePlus stated that it has received requests to create an API for the current fingerprint implementation in Oxygen OS, but has decided not to do so, since it is switching over to the standard Android M implementation soon.
OnePlus also stated that they are working hard to bring the Android Marshmallow to the OnePlus X, but haven't revealed a time frame as of now.
