Samsung outs Galaxy J3 with 5-inch display, 4G LTE in China

Samsung has announced a new smartphone under its entry-level 4G LTE enable J-series smartphone family. Dubbed Galaxy J3, it is listed on Samsung's China website.

The Samsung Galaxy J3 features 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor aided by 1.5GB RAM. It comes with 8GB inbuilt storage, further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. For imaging there is 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front shooter for clicking selfies.

The listing points towards a Single-SIM variant of the Galaxy J3, but is expected to come in dual SIM variant as well for emerging markets. In addition to 4G LTE, there is support for 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by 2600mAh battery and comes in White, Black and Golden colors.

It comes with Milk Music app and a Smart Manager tool that provides features including virus scanning and battery monitoring. The phone will be available exclusively through China Telecom. The official listing doesn't mention the price and availability of the J3.
