Chinese brand UMi is well known for offering compelling devices at affordable prices. The latest smartphone from UMi dubbed UMi Rome will take the competition to a whole new level. It seems to be one of the best device out there when you compare the specs it has to offer for the price.

The UMi Rome sports a 5.5-inch 720p 2.5D curved AMOLED display and is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, clocked at 1.3GHz, further supported by Mali T-720 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 16GB, and there is no word on storage expansion slot. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

It is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX164 sensor and a dual-LED flash. For clicking selfies you get a 2-megapixel shooter, accompanied by LED flash. It supports 4G LTE bands around the world and is fueled by 2500mAh battery. All these are packed in a body which has a waistline of 7.9mm. While unconfirmed, the device appears to have a metal frame.

Now the pricing, the UMi Rome is priced at $90 (Rs. 6,000), and will release in China in December. Considering the specs for the said cost, the device appears to be a good value for the money.
