HTC One X9 goes official, 5.5-inch display, metal body, 13MP camera with OIS


The HTC One X9 has been officially announced in China. The smartphone sports a premium brushed aluminium unibody design and measures 7.99mm around the waist.

The HTC One X9 features 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display (~401 ppi) with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and is equipped with 2.2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core 64-bit processor further aided by PowerVR G6200 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, further expandable via microSD card. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI on top.

For photography, there is 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, BSI sensor, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) that can detect shake in 0.125 milliseconds, Raw image capture and 4K video recording capabilities. For clicking selfies you get a 5-megapixel front snapper with f/2.0 aperture and can record 1080p videos.

On the connectivity front, the One X9 supports dual SIM (nano + nano), 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by a 3000mAh battery which promises 15 hours of talk time (3G), 10 hours of video playback and 40 hours music playback. It also supports fast charge. Also on-board is the BoomSound dual stereo speakers with Dolby audio.

The HTC One X9 is priced at CNY 2399 ($370 | Rs. 25,000) and will go one sale in China soon (exact date yet to be revealed). It comes in Gunmetal Grey and Silver colors.
