Lenovo ThinkPad P50s, ThinkStation P310 announced


Along with the ThinkPad P40 Yoga, Lenovo also announced ThinkPad P50s laptop and ThinkStation P310 desktop. They run Windows 10 operating system.

The Lenovo ThinkPad 50s sports a 15.6-inch 3K (1620 x 3880) IPS display and is powered by 6th generation Intel Core i7 CPU and can support up to 32GB RAM. Graphics is handled by NVIDIA Quadro M500M GPU. It features Lenovo Power Bridge technology, which allows for up to 17 hours of battery life. Other configuration options are same as ThinkPad P40 Yoga.


The Lenovo ThinkStation P310 sports a tower-like design and can be configured with an Intel Xeon E3-1200v5 CPU, with up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB M.2 SSDs or 1TB SSD. The smaller model in the series can hold two NVIDIA K1200 GPUs and upto 8TB storage, while the larger model can accommodate dual NVIDIA M4000 GPUs and up to 16TB storage. On the front it houses two USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader and a 1394 IEEE Firewire port. At the back there is four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, two DisplayPorts and Ethernet port. The ThinkStation P310 can support up to 2880 x 1620 pixels resolution.

The Lenovo ThinkPad P50s prices start at $1,299 (Rs. 86,500) and the ThinkStation P310 starts at $729. Both will be made available in Q1 2016.
