Garmin Forerunner 230, 235 GPS Running Smartwatches launched in India

Garmin had launched three new Smartwatches with inbuilt GPS called Forerunner 230, Forerunner 235 and Forerunner 630 back in October last year. Now two of them has landed in India- the Forerunner 230 and Forerunner 235. The two GPS running watches have activity tracking to track pace, time, distance, calories burned and other activities throughout the day and monitor your sleep as well.

The Forerunner 235 features  Garmin Elevate optical sensor, to measure heart rate at the wrist 24 x 7, giving runners the option to run without a strap. It displays heart rate and training zone directly onto the screen of the wearable, so runners can train more effectively. It has a 1.23-inch display with 214 x 180 pixel resolution and offers a battery life of about 9 days on regular usage and up to 11 hours in training mode.

The Forerunner 230 dosen't have the Elevate optical sensor, so runners will have to use the strap around their chest, the ANT+ heart rate strap to get the data right on the watch.  It comes with a 1-inch display bearing a resolution of 215 x 180 pixels and promises five weeks of battery life in watch mode and up to 16 hours in training mode.

Both smartwatches offer notification for incoming email, text messages, call alerts, calendar reminder and more when connected to compatible device (Android, iOS, Windows 10 Mobile). They are shock resistant and water resistant up to a depth of 50 metres.

The Garmin Forerunner 230 (Black and Yellow colors) is priced at Rs. 22,900 while the Forerunner 235 (Lava Red, Solar Flare Orange and Gray color) costs Rs. 27,490. Both are available for purchase exclusively via Flipkart.
