Gionee Marathon M5 Lite with 4000mAh battery launched in India for Rs. 12,999


Gionee has launched the battery centric Marathon M5 Lite in India. The smartphone was initially launched in China last year in December and came with 16GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and CNY 999 price tag (Rs. 10,000). The Indian model comes with more RAM and storage.

The defining feature of the Marathon M5 Lite is the 4000mAh battery inside that promises up to 32.7 hours of talk time and 450 hours of standby time. It also doubles up as a power bank to charge other devices using a OTG cable. The phone comes  encased in a premium aviation-grade aluminium body and is just is 8.5mm thick. 

The Gionee Marathon M5 Lite sports a 5-inch 720p IPS display with Asahi Dragon trail Glass protection and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor with Mali T720 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB on-board storage (23.52GB available), further expandable via microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Amigo 3.0 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. 

It is equipped with 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, CMOS sensor, 1080p video recording and for clicking selfies you get a 5-megapixel front camera. The dual SIM phone supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, WiFi and MicroUSB connectivity.

The Gionee Marathon M5 Lite comes in Golden color and is priced at Rs. 12,999. It is now available from retail stores and official Gionee online store in the country.
