Garmin has announced vivofit 4, the company's latest fitness tracker. The main highlight of the wearable is that it is capable of delivering one-year battery life. This is because the vivofit 4 packs two SR43 user-replaceable coin batteries. So there is no need to charge, and the fitness tracker is ready to go right out of the box. The vivofit 4 sports an always-on color display, that's sunlight readable. The screen can display notifications from the paired smartphone, fitness data and weather updates. Just like Garmin's other fitness tracker, the vivofit 4 can track your steps, distance traveled, sleep patterns and intensity minutes, while the Move IQ feature automatically tracks running, biking and swimming activities. Garmin has announced three new wearables with fitness-tracking capabilities at IFA 2017. These include vivomove HR, and vivoactive 3 smartwatch, and vivosport activity tracker, and are compatible with Android and iOS devices.
The vivomove HR is Garmins's first hybrid smartwatch that comes with built-in digital sub-display in addition to the touchscreen display. In other words, a traditional watch with smart features. The sub-display appears when the wearer turns their wrist. It also has several fitness tracking features like wrist based heart rate, and offers smart notifications like messages, fitness data, reminders and more. It is also water resistant, and alerts users of V02 levels as well. Garmin says the watch will run for up to five days when used in smartwatch mode, or up to two weeks in traditional watch mode. Garmin's latest activity tracker vivowave, does not look like the standard fitness tracker, but looks like an elegant analog watch. Though it looks like an analog watch it comes with fitness tracking capabilities including monitoring steps, distance, calories burnt, sleep, and also reminds users if they've been inactive for too long.
Unlike normal activity watches, the vivomove doesn't have a touch display that you can swipe or to see fitness related stats, instead it has two indicator bars on its face - the Black Move Bar on the left counts steps, while the Red Move Bar reminds users to move when they're inactive for too long.

Recently Garmin launched three new smartwatches, the Garmain Forerunner 230, Forerunner 235 and Forerunner 630, with the company's Elevate heart rate technology. Now Garmin is back with a new fitness product and its an activity tracker.
Called Vivosmart HR, it is a touchscreen activity tracker with inbuilt Elevate wrist heart rate technology. Elevate is Garmin’s proprietary technology which keeps track of your pulse continuously and shows it on the display 24/7. In addition it tracks, the usual activity, including steps taken, calories, distance, floors climbed and sleep patterns. The fitness tracker has a large sunlight readable display that always on. It shows notification when paired with a compatible device like calls, texts, email, calendar and social alert. You can also control your music directly from the band. It will also alert users when they have been inactive for too long and also send a signal to help locate their smartphone when they’ve misplaced it
There is also a feature called "Active Intensity" which measures using Intensity Minites, so users can keep track on the progress made against the goals of weekly aerobic activity.
It comes 5 ATM water rating making it waterproof for up to 50 meters and offer five days of battery life on a single charge.
The Garmin Vivosmart HR is priced at $149 and will be available from November 1. It comes in Black, Purple and Blue color.
Garmin also outed an Index Smart Scale, which can measure your body weight along with body mass index, water percentage, muscle mass, body fat percentage and bone mass. It is WiFi enabled and integrates with the Garmin Connect app on your smartphone. With the app, you can track your measurements and store them. It can be used by all family members as it can store up to 16 users at a time.
Garmin announced three new GPS running watches- the Forerunner 230, Forerunner 235 and Forerunner 630. Like various wearable fitness devices, the Forerunner 230, 235 and 630 can track distance, pace, time, heart rate and more. In addition it keeps runners on pace to achieve their next personal records. The Forerunner 235 features a Garmin Elevate optical sensor, to measure heart rate at the wrist, giving runners the option to run without a strap. It displays heart rate and training zone directly onto the screen of the wearable, so runners can train more effectively. It offers a battery life of about 11 hours. The Forerunner 230 dosen't have the Elevate optical sensor, so runners will have to use the strap around their chest, the ANT+ heart rate strap to get the data right on the watch. It offers battery life of 16 hours. Forerunner 630 is said to be the most advanced running smartwatch, and provides runners with some advanced running data. Runners would get stats like stride length, ground contact symmetry, vertical ratio, lactate
threshold and performance readiness. These stats make runners aware of their bodies, before, during and after a run. To know the heart rate, users will have to use the ANT+ heart sensor strap. It also offers vibration alert to stay active all day. It is water resistant to 50 metres
and boasts up to 16 hours of battery life in training mode and 4 weeks
in watch mode with activity tracking and smart notifications.
All three watches run Connected IQ smartwatch platform, for the customization of watch faces, apps, widgets and other stuff. When connected to a compatible smartphone, the Forerunner 230, 235 and 630 offers smart notification for call, text and email alerts, music controls, and audio alerts for lap and lap times during a run.
The data collected on the watch syncs with smartphone via Garmain Connect Mobile app, so users can check and view reports on activity progress, track sleep hours and more. The app can be linked to MyFitnessPal account sto sync
