Garmin unveils Vivofit 3 and Vivoactive HR wearables
Popular GPS device maker Garmin has announced two new smart wearables, the Vivoactive HR sports watch and Vivofit 3 activity tracker.
The Vivoactive HR sports a full-color Chroma Display, which is readable iin bright sunlight. It comes with GPS, heart-rate sensor and a built-in accelerator. The wearable as a fitness tracker, can track steps walked, stairs climbed, sleep patterns and calories burned. It comes with a software called Move IQ, which allows the device to detect whether you're walking, running, cycling, swimming or training. On a single charge, the Vivo Active HR can last for eight days with activity tracking mode, and for 13 hours with GPS mode.
The Vivofit 3 activity tracker promises one-year long battery life. It can monitor steps, calories burned sleep patterns and includes a Move Bar, which keeps eye on your inactivity, and will motivate to achieve goals. It has a backlit display, that shows time of the day along with fitness data, and comes with Move IQ software. The wearable is waterproof to 5 meters and comes with multiple interchangeable bands including a range by designer Jonathan Adler.
The Garmin Vivoactive HR and Vivofit 3 prices start at $249 (Rs. 17,000) and $100 (Rs. 6,800) and will go on sale in the U.S in Q2 2016.
