Garmin vivosmart HR activity tracker with heart rate sensor now available in India


Garmin has launched their latest activity tracker, the vivosmart HR in India. In addition to activity tracking, the wearable also comes with heart rate monitoring via the inbuilt Elevate wrist heat rate technology.

As an activity tracker it can track steps taken, calories burned, distance travelled, floors climbed and sleep patterns, and also alerts users when they have been inactive for too long.

It has a sunlight readable display that is always on, and shows notifications for calls, texts, emails, calendar events and social alert, and control the music when connected to compatible device. The band also sends a signal to help locate your smartphone, when it is lost or misplaced. You will also be alerted via vibration as well.

The vivosmart HR comes with a feature called 'Active Intensity' which measures Intensity minutes, so that you can keep track of the progress made against the goals of weekly aerobic activity. It offers five days of battery life on a single charge and has 5ATM water rating, which means it is water proof for up to 50 meters.

The wearable device connects to smartphone via Bluetooth using the Garmin Connect Mobile app, available for Android and iOS. The app can also connect to your MyFitnessPall account to automatically sync calories and other fitness details/

The Garmin vivosmart HR has been priced at Rs 14,999 (introductory offer Rs. 12,990), and will be exclusively available on Amazon India.
