Timex is launching a brand new activity tacker in India called Time Blink. The popular watch maker has partnered with Indian consumer technology start-up to manufacture the Timex Blink. Similar to other fitness tracker, the Timex Blink can track your daily activities such as steps taken, distance traveled, calories burner and sleep patterns. It is also integrated with SOS technology, which can be used for sending instant mail and SMS in case of emergency, for which its uses, the user's GPS location. The fitness tracker features 0.9-inch OLED touch display and is powered by Nordic nRF52832 processor. It also includes 6-axis motion sensor, built-in SOS and microUSB 3.0 port for charging. It also has Bluetooth connectivity to pair with compatible Android and iOS devices. It is fueled by 90mAh battery, which is capable of delivering 10 days of battery life and 12 days of standby time. It comes with a removable core and interchangeable straps that comes in leather, stainless steel and silicone material with the option of three case colors: Black SS, Silver, SS and Rose Gold SS. As an introductory offer users will get a free additional Silicone sports strap. The Timex Blink model with leather strap is priced at Rs. 4,495, and the bracelet style band model costs Rs. 4,995. It is now available for purchase from authorized Timex stores across the country.
China based device maker Riverson is launching two fitness trackers in India: Wave BP and Wave FIT. As the name suggests, the Wave BP boasts enhanced sensors to help monitor blood pressure, while the Wave FIT is an all day fitness tracker. The Riversong Wave BP fitness tracker sports 0.87-inch OLED display, and is equipped with heart rate sensor, Bluetooth 4.1 to pair with supported devices and a 70mAh battery that promises up to five days of standby time. The Wave Fit has a bigger 0.91-inch OLED display, packs 90mAh battery, and supports Bluetooth 4.1 for connectivity. Both wearables are IP67 rated for water and dust resistance and come with rugged silicone strap. They are capable of tracking daily activities like steps taken, distance covered, calorie burnt, sleep patterns and more, and comes with a functions called Find My Phone. There's also a dedicated app available for Android device, to sync with the fitness trackers and collect the data. As for the pricing, the Riversong BP fitness tracker costs Rs. 3,200, and the Wave FIT is priced Rs. 2,199. They are available for purchase exclusively from Amazon India.
Ambrane, a brand popularly known for its power banks is foraying into the wearable market with the launch of a fitness tracker called AFB-11 Flexi Fit. The AFB-11 Flexi fit comes with heart rate sensor, and can track the usual daily activityies like steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned and sleep cycles. It also offers sedentary reminder (if you're inactive for long intervals, you'll be notified to move), and alerts for water intake. The fitness tracker has a OLED screen (can be detached from the band), that displays time, battery status, heart rate and fitness data. It is IP67 rated for water resistant and dust proof, and packs 60mAh battery, that promises up to 120 hours of battery life, and takes two hours to fully charge.
It is compatible with Android and iOS devices, and pairs with them via Bluetooth. Once paired, the wearable is able to alert users of incoming notifications like incoming calls, text message, email alerts and calendar alerts. You can also control the smartphone's camera (take photos) and music with the wearable as well. The AFB-11 Flexi Fit has been priced at Rs. 1,799, and will be exclusively available online on Flipkart in Black shade. The fitness tracker is backed by one year warranty, and will be competing with the likes of Xiaomi's Mi Band 2, Lenovo Smart Band HW01 (both priced Rs. 1,999), Intex's FitRist Cardio (Rs, 1,499), and the soon to be released Honor Band 3.
Huawei has introduced two new fitness tracking wearable devices dubbed as the Band 2 and Band 2 Pro. Both have the same design, but Band 2 Pro gets some additional functions. The fitness trackers come with all-day heart rate monitoring, and boast 5ATM waterproof technology for water resistant, which protects them for up to 50 meters under water. The Band 2 and Band 2 Pro have PMOLED display, and is capable of measuring the usual daily activities like steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned and sleep patterns. They are compatible with Android (v4.4 and up) and iOS (v. 8.0 and up) devices, and when paired with them via Bluetooth, is capable of notifying messages, calendar reminders, alarms and more. Both fitness trackers also have a Breathing Coach feature that monitors and provides instructions on breathing for relaxing effect.
The Huawei Band 2 Pro gets additional features like V02 Max that measure the amount of oxygen your body can take in; built-in GPS provide precise data about how far you've run; TruSleep virtual sleep hygiene and Sports coach feature. Both pack 100mAh battery, that is rated to offer up to 21 days of battery life on a single charge. The Band 2 Pro will offer up to 3.5 hours of battery life in GPS mode. The Huawei Band 2 and Band 2 Pro comes in Black, Blue and Red hue. There's no word on pricing and availability.
Huawei sub-brand Honor is giving last year's Honor Band A1 a major upgrade. Dubbed Honor Band A2, the new fitness tracker comes with a display and heart rate sensor, that was missing in its predecessor. The Honor Band A2 has 0.96-inch OLED touch display, and heart rate sensor with continous heart rate tracking. Much like other fitness tracker, it comes with fitness tracking functions like distance traveled, steps taken, calories burned and sleep monitoring. It can also track cycling rides and provide real time data for it, and provides sedentary reminders. The fitness tracker can also alert users for incoming call and message notification when connected to a compatible smartphone (Android 4.4 and up or iOS 8.0 or up) via Bluetooth 4.1. It is also IP67 rated for water and dust resistance, and the strap comes in different patterns and colors including Black, Green, White and Red.
It is fueled by a 95mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to nine days of battery life and 18 days on standby time. The Honor Band A2 is priced at CNY 199 ($29 | Rs. 1,870) and will go on sale in China starting June 9.
Intex is upgrading its FitRist fitness tracking band, adding a new feature that will bring it in line with Xiaomi's Mi Band 2. The new FitRist Cardio comes with a heart rate sensor for heart-rate monitoring, which was missing on its predecessor. Also, the FitRist Cardio packs 80mAh battery same as the FitRist, but now offers seven days of battery life instead of 12. Apart from these, the rest of the functions remain the same. Like its predecessor, FitRist Cardio is capable of tracking steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled and can monitor the quality of the sleep. It also includes Hydration Alarm, allowing you to set up water reminders to make sure you intake water on a regular interval.
The FitRist Cardio sports 0.85-inch OLED display and shows time/date, battery status and fitness stats. It also shows notifications for incoming calls, SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger when paired with compatible smartphone (Android 4.4/iOS 7 or higher) via Bluetooth. The fitness tracker also lets you control your smartphone's camera and music app. It also has a built-in alarm, and boast security feature like find the device and Anti-loss, which protects your device from losing. The fitness tracker is water resistance and splash proof adding durability, and weighs just 26g. The Intex Fitrist Cardio is priced at Rs. 1,599, (Rs. 500 more than FitRist) and will be available exclusively through Amazon India. It is priced Rs. 500 lesser than Xiaomi's popular fitness band, Mi Band 2.
Fossil owned fitness wearable brand Misfit has introduced a new affordable and simple fitness tracker called the Flare. Just like Misfit's other fitness trackers, the Flare can automatically track steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned and sleep quality (light and restful sleep). It can also track activities such as running, walking, yoga, swimming, soccer, basketball, tennis and more. All the data collected is fed into the Misfit app available for Android and iOS. The Flare's tracking module sports an aluminum case with capacitve touch sensor (or smart button) and a single LED light at the centre beneath a crystal face. It also includes a sleek black silicone strap. Double tapping the smart button will let you check daily progress. The LED light shows activity progress, goal tracking and lap count. One light will indicate 25% of your goal, two will mark 50% and three is 75%.
The smart button can also also customized for different actions such as play music, take selfie, connect to household smart devices and make your phone ring when the Flare is connected to the Misfit Link app on the smartphone. The fitness tracker is also waterproof for up to 50 meters thanks to 5ATM rating, making it useful for swimmers. Swimmers can use the fitness tracker to count swim laps and track swim distance for 25 and 50 meter pools, and count down a set swim time. (one-time $9.99 updgrade required within misfit app). Fitbit is upgrading its Alta fitness tracker, with new features and improved battery life. Called Alta HR, the new fitness tracker has inbuilt PurePulse heart rate technology, which can monitor you heart rate continuously for more accurate calorie tracking. Fitbit also claims it to be the world's slimmest fitness tracker. Apart from addition of heart rate sensor, the Alta HR also gets improved sleep monitoring capabilities. The fitness tracker gets two new sleep-monitoring tools, Sleep Stages and Sleep Insights via the Fitbit app (Android and iOS) that provides deeper insight to your sleep quality. Sleep Stages utilizes heart rate variability to estimate the amount of time you spen in light, deep and REM sleep, as well as time awake each night, to better under stand your sleep quality. Sleep Insights uses Fitbit data to offer personaolized guidance on how to improve sleep quality. The Sleep Stages and Sleep Insights tool will also be available for other Fitbit devices as well. Sleep Stages will also work with Fitbit Blaze and Charge 2, while the Sleep Insights will be available on all Fitbit devices. The new features will be available globally in Spring 2017.
The new fitness tracker also gets improved battery life promisingup to seven days of battery life vs five days offered by Fitbit Alta.
Besides these new additions, the other functions of Fitbit Alta HR is same as its predecessor. It can track steps taken, distance traveled, calories burned, active minutes and motivate to reach goals. It can also provide reminders to move and comes with a feature called SmartTrack to automatically track exercise activities like walking, running, cycling, elliptical, sports and aerobic workouts in the Fitbit app, and gives you credit for reaching your weekly goals. The Fitbit Alta HR has an OLED display which displays time/date, fitness stats and smartphone notifications. It comes with interchangable bands in multiple colors and premium materials, allowing users to customize the fitness tracker the way they seem fit. The Fitbit Alta HR will available for pre-order globally soon. In India, the Altra HR is priced at Rs. 14,999, and will be up for pre-order through Amazon India from March 15 to 31, and will go on sale from April 1. From April 16 on-wards it will be available across major retailers in the country including Reliance Digital, Crome, Helios, Jumbo and Vijay Sales. It comes in Black, Blue Gray, Fuchsia and Coral. There's also a Special Edition Alta HR which comes in Gun Metal and Rose Gold, and carries a price tag of Rs. 16,999. Finland based health-based technology provider Health Care Success has launched its range of fitness wearables in India under the brand name Tango. The brand's first offering, the Tango Wellness Motivator is a smart fitness band. The Tango Wellness Motivator offers 24 hours fitness data monitoring, step count, calories burtn, distance traveled and monitors sleep as well. It is also equipped with 3D motion sensor to accurately capture every single movement of an individual. The wearable promises three weeks of battery life and come with a built-in automatic timer with target goal. Other features include hi-res sunlight readable display (double tap to see fitness stats and time), a double lock for a secure fit on the wrist and is water-resistance. It connects to compatible devices (iOS 4.0 or higher and Android 4.3 and higher) via Bluetooth and feeds the data collected to an app called Act2fit on the device. The Tango Wellness Motivator is priced at Rs. 4,990 and will be available via company website and Amazon India. It comes in black, gray, lilac, orange, aqua blue and pink hues.
Misfit last year, teamed up with Speedo and launched the Speedo Shine fitness tracker. Now both companies have teamed up once again to launch the Speedo Shine 2, aimed at swimmers. Much like the Speedo Shine, the Speedo Shine 2 is also an activity, swim and sleep tracker, but borrows some new features from Misfit Shine 2. The Speedo Shine 2 can accurately track a swimmer's lap count and swim distance. It also allows you to set workout timers and when the countdown is complete, it alerts you with a gentle vibe. The wearable's lap counting algorithms can keep track of lap counts across all stroke types. It sports a durable aircraft-grade aluminum design and is waterproof for up to 50 meters. The tracker has 12 LEDs which tells the time and is capable of displaying more than 16 million potential colors to depict different notifications. It can also notify you of incoming calls, texts and reminder alerts by vibrating. For advanced activity and sleep tracking packs 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis magnetometer. It promises six months of battery life on single charge. All the collected data on the wearable can be synced smartphones/tablets with Misfit app, or to Speedo's swim-tracking app called Speedo Fit. The wearable is compatible with Android (v4.0+) and iOS (v7+) devices and connects to them via Bluetooth. Priced at $120 (Rs. 8,000), the Speedo Shine 2 will go on sale in the coming weeks. Misfit is also introducing a $10 in-app purchase for the Misfit Ray and Shine 2, which will enable tracking and lap counting features on these devices.
Samsung forayed into the fitness-tracking space with Gear Fit fitness tracker at MWC 2014. Now two years later, the company has introduced it's successor, the Gear Fit 2. The next gen Gear Fit 2 runs Tizen OS and is able to automatically track a range of activities such as running, walking, cycling, yoga or utilizing rowing machine or elliptical trainer The Gear Fit 2 comes with GPS to measure distance, pace, route and calories, and a series of sensors including gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer, and heart-rate monitor. It works as a standalone music player and also plays motivational soundtrack over Bluetooth to keep you moving. It connects to your smartphone and display notifications for calls, texts, appointments and messages. The fitness tracker sports a 1.5-inch Curved AMOLED screen with 216 x 432 resolution, and is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. It is backed by 200mAh battery and is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. The data collected by Gear Fit 2 syncs with your smartphone via S Health app and other select fitness applications. It is compatible with devices running Android 4.4 and up and have at least 1.5GB RAM. The Samsung Gear Fit 2 is priced at $179 (Rs. 12,000) and will go on sale in the U.S on June 10. It comes in black, blue and pink colors.
Garmin's latest activity tracker vivowave, does not look like the standard fitness tracker, but looks like an elegant analog watch. Though it looks like an analog watch it comes with fitness tracking capabilities including monitoring steps, distance, calories burnt, sleep, and also reminds users if they've been inactive for too long.
Unlike normal activity watches, the vivomove doesn't have a touch display that you can swipe or to see fitness related stats, instead it has two indicator bars on its face - the Black Move Bar on the left counts steps, while the Red Move Bar reminds users to move when they're inactive for too long.
One of the main highlights of vivomove is its battery which promises to last one whole year, and also has water protection rating of 5ATM (50 meters). The vivomove connects to compatible devices by simply pushing the crown button on the watch. The data collected by the activity tracker syncs with the smartphone via Garmin Connect Mobile app.

Domestic gadget maker Noise has launched its first smart band called 'Trace'. The wearable comes with a detachable core unit, so you can wear it as a wrist band as well as a pendant.
Trace can measure the intensity and duration of physical actively over the course of a day, whether you are at gym or in home. It can also count steps taken, calculate calories burnt and monitor sleep quality/time.
Noise's Trace has a circular OLED display that shows notifications, time and other details. It is splash resistant, comes with alarm clock feature offers a long lasting battery. The smart band connects with compatible devices via Bluetooth.
The smart band has no control button, so you will have to double tap on the screen to see the time and other details.

It has a satin finish, stainless steel body and comes with a range of optional interchangeable bands in multiple colors and premium materials.
The Fitbit Alta will track your steps, distance, calories burned and active minutes as well as remind you to move when you need to be bit more active. It comes with a feature called SmartTrack that lets you keep track of the exercise and gives you credit for reaching your weekly goals. It promises five days of battery life on a single charge, with a charge time of one to two hours.

Misfit has launched a new fitness and sleep monitor called Misfit Ray, that has a cylindrical aluminium body and modular design. It measures 12mm in diameter and is 38mm long. Misfit Ray can be worn either as a bracelet or a necklace. It can track activity and sleep with a 3-axis accelerometer and also packs a vibration motor for vibrating alert. For notification, it uses a multi-color LED indicator to notify about texts and calls. It includes an alarm and users can also take selfies, control music and light with the tracker.

The Swipe F-Band, like other fitness bands is capable of tracking all-days activities like steps taken, calories burned and monitor your sleep. Users set goals and targets as well. The device has a silent vibration alarm and also vibrates to alert when users receive a call.

Portronics India has outed YOGG Smart Wristband that works as a personal fitness and activity tracker. The wristband is made of soft elastic material, making it comfortable to wear. Xiaomi has taken the wraps of its new wearable device, the Mi Band 1S, successor to the highly successful Mi Band. The Mi Band 1S comes with a heart rate sensor or photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor to measure heartbeats, which was missing in its predecessor. The heart rate sensor is placed on the back of the module and lets users get their detailed heart rate measurement.
Apart from that, the design, form factor and other features of the Mi Band 1S are similar to the Mi Band, and as usual, is compatible with both Android and iOS devices. It has the same aluminum body and can measure the number of steps you’ve taken, calories you’ve burned during exercise and the quality of your sleep, and vibrate to wake you up.
It comes with LED notifications for calls and messages which can notify
with vibrations as well. It can be connected with your smartphone using
Bluetooth 4.0 LE and can also be used to unlock the device. The fitness tracker comes IP67 rating which lets you use the band under 3ft of water up to 30 minutes of time. It is fitted with a 45mAh battery and promises up to 20 days of standby compared
to up to 30 days of standby in the Mi Band since it has a heart rate
sensor that requires more power.
The new model is slightly thicker than the Mi Band with a 9.9mm waistline, and weighs half a gram at 5.5 grams, more than its predecessor.
Priced at just CNY 99 ($15 | Rs.
1030), the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S will go on sale in China starting November 11. Xiaomi has also reduced the price of the Mi Band from the launch price
of CNY 79 to CNY 69 ($11 | Rs. 720).
Recently Garmin launched three new smartwatches, the Garmain Forerunner 230, Forerunner 235 and Forerunner 630, with the company's Elevate heart rate technology. Now Garmin is back with a new fitness product and its an activity tracker.
Called Vivosmart HR, it is a touchscreen activity tracker with inbuilt Elevate wrist heart rate technology. Elevate is Garmin’s proprietary technology which keeps track of your pulse continuously and shows it on the display 24/7. In addition it tracks, the usual activity, including steps taken, calories, distance, floors climbed and sleep patterns. The fitness tracker has a large sunlight readable display that always on. It shows notification when paired with a compatible device like calls, texts, email, calendar and social alert. You can also control your music directly from the band. It will also alert users when they have been inactive for too long and also send a signal to help locate their smartphone when they’ve misplaced it
There is also a feature called "Active Intensity" which measures using Intensity Minites, so users can keep track on the progress made against the goals of weekly aerobic activity.
It comes 5 ATM water rating making it waterproof for up to 50 meters and offer five days of battery life on a single charge.
The Garmin Vivosmart HR is priced at $149 and will be available from November 1. It comes in Black, Purple and Blue color.
Garmin also outed an Index Smart Scale, which can measure your body weight along with body mass index, water percentage, muscle mass, body fat percentage and bone mass. It is WiFi enabled and integrates with the Garmin Connect app on your smartphone. With the app, you can track your measurements and store them. It can be used by all family members as it can store up to 16 users at a time.
