Samsung Portable SSD T3 with USB Type-C support announced
Samsung has announced the Portable SSD T3, a compact solid state drive that lets you carry up to 2TB of files in a compact body. It supports USB 3.1 Type-C and comes with an AES 256-bit hardware encryption.
It comes in 250GB, 500GB, 1TB and 2TB SSD capacities and offers read-write speeds of up to 450 MB/s. with a USB 3.1 interface. The device is compatible with a wide range of USB supported devices including Android devices, PCs with Windows or Mac OS. It is housed in a shock-resistant metal case and internal frame support that measures just 51g.
The Samsung Portable SSD T1 will be available in select regions including the United States, China, Korea worldwide starting February 2016. The company will also offer a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable in the retail box. Pricing is yet to be revealed.
