Samsung reportedly working on Galaxy A9 Pro

Samsung expanded the 2016 iteration of Galaxy A series in December 2015 with the launch of Galaxy A3, A5, A7 and A9 2016. Out of the four, the Galaxy A9 is the more appealing smartphone and boasts of very good specs.

Now, according to SamMobile, Samsung is reportedly working on a higher end variant of the Galaxy A9 2016 called the Galaxy A9 Pro (name could change). The A9 Pro is codenamed AM-A9100 and the development has already begun in China.

As of now, there are no hardware details of A9 Pro, but we can expect it to come with a higher screen resolution or bumped up RAM and storage. The Galaxy A9 Pro will be meant for the Chinese market, and it is not known whether it will make its way to global markets.

For reference, the Galaxy A9 2016 sports 6.0-inch full-HD display and is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 Octa-core SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB in-built storage, 13MP rear, 8MP front and a massive 4000mAh battery. A fingerprint sensor is also on-board. It is selling in China for $490 (Rs. 30,000).
