Android based Acer Liquid Jade 2 offers 1TB hybrid cloud storage



At the ongoing MWC 2016 in Barcelona, Spain, Acer launched the Liquid Jade 2, the Android version of the Windows 10 Mobile based Liquid Jade Primo. The Liquid jade 2 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and comes with 1TB of hybrid cloud storage, some what like the Nextbit Robin that offered 100GB cloud storage. According to Acer, cloud and internal storage is "seamlessly" integrated on the Liquid Jade 2.

The Acer Liquid Jide 2 sports a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display and is powered by Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor further aided by Adreno 418 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB. The Liquid Jide 2 has a 21-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 4K video recording capabilities, and 8-megapixel front camera that can capture 1080p videos.  

For connectivity there is support for 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-C. It comes with DTS Headphone:X technology for surround sound experience with any pair of headphones, according to Acer.There is no information on the battery capacity as of now.

Acer hasn’t announced the pricing and availability, but said that the “exact specifications, prices, and availability will vary by region.”
