Sony Xperia X, Xperia X Performance, Xperia XA goes official
Sony has announced three brand new Xperia X series smartphone - the Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA. The Xperia X and XA aims slightly above the mid-range market, while the Xperia Performance, as the name suggests is a high-end smartphone with Snapdragon 820 and focuses on delivering smooth user experience. The Xperia X, XA and X Performance run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes in an optional Dual SIM variant depending on the market.
Sony Xperia X & Xperia X Performance
The Sony Xperia X sports a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos display and is powered by Hexa-core Snapdragon 650 64-bit porcessor with Adreno 450 GPU and 3GB RAM. On-board storage is 32GB, further expandable via microSD card up to 200GB.
For photography, there is 23-megapixel rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, 1/2.3" sensor, f/2.0 aperture, Predictive Hybrid AF and 1080p video recording capabilities. The front facing camera is 13-megapixel and comes with 1/3” Exmor RS sensor, 22mm wide-angle f/2.0 lens, and 1080p video recording capabilities. Hybrid Auto Focus lets you choose your subject and then predicts its motion, so you can capture the action in perfect focus, free from blur.
Connectivity features inlucde 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/GLONASS, MHL 3.0 and NFC. It is fueled by 2630mAh battery that supports Qnovo's Adaptive Charging technology.
The Sony Xperia X Performance comes with the same features as Xperia X (5-inch 1080p display, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 23MP rear camera, 13MP front camera), but is equipped with quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, CAT 9 LTE, IP68 rating for waterproofing and a 2700mAh battery.

The Sony Xperia XA sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 820 pixels) curved glass edge-to-edge display and is equipped with 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor with Mali T860 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, further expandable via microSD card up to 200GB.
For imaging, it has 13-megapixel rear camera with 1/3” Exmos RS sensor, 1080p video recording capabilities, and 8-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GP. It is fueled by 2300mAh battery and also supports Qnovo's Adaptive Charging technology.
The Sony Xperia X, Xperia Performance and Xperia XA comes in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colors. They will be available starting from Summer 2016. Pricing is yet to be announced.
