The MSI Cubi 2 Plus is an upgradable mini-desktop PC


MSI has expanded its Cubi line of mini-desktop PCs. with the launch of Cubi 2 Plus. It features a mini STX 5 x 5 docketed motherboard, that means the CPU can be easily upgraded. MSI will offer a choice of Core i3, i5 and i7 processors using Intel’s sixth-generation Skylake architecture. 

The MSI Cubi 2 Plus houses two memory slots, that supports up to 32GB DDR4 2133 MHz RAM, and has support for M.2 SATA SDD (up to 256GB) or a 2.5-inch HDD or SDD (up to 1TB). For wireless connectivity there is WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0. It runs Windows 10 and measures just 6.1 x 5.8 x 2.3 inches. 

It has a HDMI port, DisplayPort, 2 x USB 3.1 port and Ethernet port on the rear, 3 x USB 3.1 Type-C, 3 x USB 2.0, headset jack and SD card reader on the front, and at the top there is a USB 2.0 with super charge support. It has a small form factor and can be attached to the back of a monitor with VESA mount.

The MSI Cubi 2 Plus will be available globally in March. MSI will also offer a vPro edition of Cubi 2 Plus with support for Intel's vPro technology, targeted at businesses.
