Acer announces Chromebook 14 with aluminium body, 14 hours battery life, prices start at $299
Acer has announced its latest Chromebook 14. It runs Chrome OS, has an all aluminium chassis, making it lightweight and is targeted at students and businesses.
The Chromebook 14 features a 14-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Celeron N3060 Braswell processor, and comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB eMMC storage.
There is also an entry-level model with 14-inch 1366 x 768 IPS display, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Acer also plans to offer models with quad-core Celeron N3160 processors as well.
The Chomebook 14 comes with 720p webcam, stereo speakers, microphone, 2 x USB 3.1 ports and an HDMI port. For wireless connectivty there is Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band 2.2 MIMO 802.11ac/a/b/gn WiFi support It offers up to 12 hours for the Full HD model and 14 hours of the HD model.
The Acer Chromebook 14 Full HD model costs $299 and will be available in the U.S and Canada sometime in April.
