LeEco Le 2 specs outed by AnTuTu, GFXBenchmark, launch expected on April 20
Chinese company LeEco (formerly LeTV) has scheduled an event on April 20 in Beijing, where it will showcase latest product from their smart device ecosystem. Also expected is the launch of Le 2, which is the successor to the massive hit Le 1s smartphone.
We have already seen the Le 2 in leaked image, and now the the phone has been spotted on GFXBench database and AnTuTu benchmarks outing possible specifications. Both reveal the same specs of Le 2 excpet for the processor.
As per GFXBenchmark, the Le 2 comes with model number X620 and is powered by MediaTek's Deca-core Helio X25 or MT6797T processor with Mali T880 GPU, whereas AnTuTu test shows it to have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 processor w/ Adreno 510 GPU. Considering that Helio X25 is exclusive to Meizu's, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 appears to be a more likely outcome for the Le 2, but we will have to wait until the handset is officially announced.
It will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p display and come with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. For photography, the Le 2 will get 16-megapixel rear camera w/ LED flash and 8-megapixel front facing camera. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Most notably, the Le 2 is expected to sport the company's new logo and is also expected to come with Ultrasonic finger print scanner.
Other details such as battery capacity and pricing is not known for the moment, but we can know more about them on April 20. On that date, LeEco is also expected to announce its foray into the U.S market.
The Le 1s was one of most successful handset for LeEco in the mid-range market segment in its home market and India, making it one of the most sort after phone competing with Redmi Note 3. With the Le 2, we can expect the competition to get intense.
