OnePlus 2 gets a permanent Rs. 2,000 price cut in India
OnePlus has announced a permanent price drop of Rs. 2000 on OnePlus 2 16GB and 64GB models in India, month after it reduced the price on its global portal OnePlus.net.
The OnePlus 2 16GB and 64GB was launched for Rs. 22,999 and Rs. 24,999 respectively, and after the discount the 16GB model is available for Rs. 20,999, and the 64GB model at Rs. 22,999. Both models of OnePlus 2 can be purchased on Amazon India, and is invite free.
On slashing the price of OnePlus 2, OnePlus says that its operations in the country have sized up sufficiently, and that has made it possible for it to have more flexibility. The timing of the price cut also indicated that a new flagship from OnePlus is underway. The company has already announced its plans to launch the OnePlus 3 in Q2 2016 (April, May, June).
Coming back to OnePlus 2, OnePlus termed it as the flagship killer of 2016 (marketing gimmick). The specs include 5.5-inch 1080p display, octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 16GB/64GB storage, Oxygen OS based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, 13MP/5MP shooter, USB Type-C port, 4G LTE support, fingerprint sensor and 3300mAh battery.
