Qihoo 360 F4 with metal body, 13MP rear camera gets official in China
China based Qihoo 360 (formerly known as QiKU, has launched the 360 F4, their latest budget smartphone in China. The brand is also the maker of the popular 360 Security app for Android devices.
The Qihoo 360 F4 sports a metal body with rounded borders to give the premium look. It has a fingerprint sensor on that back than can unlock the phone in 0.4 seconds. The fingerprint reader can also be used to call a speed dial number or as a camera shutter button. It also comes with Hybrid dual SIM slot, meaning the second slot can be used for microSD.
The Qihoo 360/QiKu F4 sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor w/ Mali-T720 GPU. It comes in two RAM/ROM variants - 2GB RAM w/ 16GB storage or 3GB RAM with 32GB storage. It runs 360 OS, that is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop
The F4 gets a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF) and 1080p video recording. Front facing snapper is 5-megapixel. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz / 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. A 2500mAh battery keeps it running.
The Qihoo 360/QiKU F4 is priced at CNY 599 ($90 | Rs. 6,000) for the 2GB RAM w/ 16GB storage variant, and CNY 799 ($125 | Rs. 8,000) for the 3GB RAM w/ 62GB storage variant. It comes in White, Black, Pink, Gold and Blue colors. The F4 will be sold via flash sale model that will be held on March 25, and the registration for the sale is now open.
