Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro with 4GB RAM gets official


Samsung launched the Galaxy A9 2016 in China last year in December, and now the company has introduced a Pro variant of the Galaxy A9, dubbed Galaxy A9 Pro in China. The Pro version gets an upgraded RAM, rear camera and battery. Just like the Galaxy A9 it sports a metal frame and glass back panel.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro features a 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and Adreno 510 GPU. On-board storage is 32GB, further expandable via microSD card. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and houses Hybrid dual SIM slot.

The Galaxy A9 Pro gets 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8-megapixel front camera. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by 5000mAh battery with fast charging support and also has a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.

For comparison the Galaxy A9 2016 packed 3GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera and 4000mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is priced at CNY 3499 ($540 | Rs. 38,000) and will be initially available in China in Rose, Gold, White and Pink variants.
