Vernee to launch Thor, a 'Uber-featured' smartphone in April
China based Vernee, a new comer to the smartphone market a few days back unveiled its first smartphone, the Vernee Apollo, which packed a massive 6GB RAM. In addition to Apollo, the brand also announced a mid-range handset called Thor, but did not reveal many details of it. Now Vernee has shared the images, specifications and pricing of the Thor.
Vernee will team up with popular ride hailing service Uber for the launch of Thor, making it the world's first Uber-featured smartphone. Unfortunately there are no details how Vernee will integrate Uber services on the Thor, but we can expect the handset to come pre-loaded with Uber app, and maybe a couple of vouchers for Uber rides.
Spec-wise, the Vernee Thor comes with a 5-inch 720p 2.5D arc display, 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 SoC, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage (expadnable up to 128GB via microSD card), 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and backed by a 2800mAh battery with fast 5V2A charging. It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Vernee will release the Thor in April for $129 (Rs. 8,600). Hit the source link to check out more Thor photos.
