Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro with 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, fingerprint sensor announced


At an event in China, Xiaomi has announced an enhanced version of Redmi 3, dubbed the Redmi 3 Pro. The Redmi 3 Pro comes with upgraded RAM and Storage, while other specs being same, and is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor on the back. It sports a full metal magnesium alloy unibody design.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 616 SOC w/ Adreno 405 GPU with 3GB RAM (2GB RAM Redmi 3) and 32GB internal storage (16GB Redmi 3), with storage expansion support up to 32GB via microSD card. It comes with hybrid dual SIM slot (SIM + SIM or SIM + microSD card) and runs MIUI 7.0 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

For photography the Redmi 3 Pro gets a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF and 5-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity department is handled by 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is fueled by a massive 4100mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is priced at CNY 899 ($140 | Rs. 9,000) and will be available during Mi Fan Festival that starts on April 4. It comes in Silver, Grey and Gold colors.
