Acer Iconia Tab 10 budget 10-inch tablet with Android Marshmallow announced
Acer has announced a new 10-inch Android tablet dubbed Iconia Tab 10, aimed at entertainment and targets the mid-range tablet market.
The Acer Iconia Tab 10 sports a 10.1-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with MediaTek's MiraVision display engine to enhance color, contrast and sharpness. The display has an anti-finger coating to keep it smear free and feature 'Precision Plus' sensors that offer 2.5 time more sensitivity than those on normal touch screen. This means users can use a real pencil to write or doodle on the display.
The Iconia Tab 10 10 is powered by MediaTek’s MT8163A 64-bit quad-core processor, and comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, which can be increased via microSD card (up to 128GB). It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. There's a 5MP rear & 2MP front facing camera, and four front facing speakers powered by Dolby DTS-HD Premium Sound technology. The battery capacity is not known, but Acer says it will last over eight hours between charges.
The tablet has a MediaMaster key on the side that allows users to select best audio and display settings for the media being watched. This button is useful when the tablet is connected to a external display via Wireless display feature or built-in micro HDMI port.
The Acer Iconia Tab 10 is priced at £180 ($255 | Rs. 17,000) and will be available in UK in June. There is no word on global roll out yet.
