Huawei Honor 5C with 5.2-inch display, fingerprint sensor gets certified by TENAA


Huawei last week launched the P9 and P9 Plus premium flagship devices, but the strength of the company lies in the mid-range market segment. Now, Huawei's sub-brand Honor is gearing up to launch the successor of the budget Honor 4C smartphone, the Honor 5C, as the phone has been certified by China's TENAA revealing its design and specifications.

The Honor 5C will have a premium metal unibody design thatclosely resembles Honor 5X, and has a fingerprint sensor on the back.

According to TENAA, the Honor 5C will have a 5.2-inch 1080p display and powered by 2GHz octa-core processor. The chipset is unspecified but it could be MediaTek Helio X10, Snapdragon 625 or Kirin 650 SoC. The phone will pack 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt expandable storage (via microSD card slot), 13MP rear camera w/ LED flash, 8MP front camera, and fueled by a 2900mAh battery.

The phone measures 147.1 x 73.8 x 8.3mm and weighs 156g. Honor is also expected to release a slightly upgraded model of Honor 5C with 3GB RAM/32GB storage.

As per reports, the Honor 5C launch is scheduled for April 28.
