Apple iPhone 7 could be water resistant and sport Force Touch home button
Taiwanese publication Digitimes reports that Apple's upcoming iPhone 7 will be water proof and dust resistant, and is also expected to get a force touch home button.
Earlier rumors were flying around suggesting that Apple's next iPhone will be waterproof. If the rumor is true, this would be the very first time, that an Apple phone is getting waterproof abilities. The report adds that Apple has completed a third round of tests on the prototype of the iPhone 7 for water and dust resistance.
As for the home button, Apple is planning to add a virtual home button that might use haptic feedback motors, which is present on the Force Touch trackpad of the MacBook, to give a button like feel and other interface options.
The report further mentions that Apple could include a matte black color for the iPhone 7 chassis, which is supposed to be darker than Space Grey color.
According to some analysts, iPhone 7 would not get any major upgrade this year and will also lack a 'must have' appeal, however these rumors might change their thinking. Apple is also rumored to ditch the 3.5mm jack on the iPhone 7.
