Samsung Galaxy J2, Galaxy J5, Galaxy J7 gets S Bike mode
Last month Samsung launched the Galaxy J3 smartphone in India targeted at bikers. The phone featured S Bike mode for a distraction free ride. Now Samsung has released the same feature to Galaxy J2, Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 smartphones in the country via a software update.
The Galaxy J3 comes with an NFC tag that can be placed on the bike, and you'll have to tap the tag with the phone to automatically activate the S Bike mode, before riding. And since the Galaxy J2, J5 and J7 don't support NFC, users will need to activate the S Bike mode manually from the quick settings toggle.
With S Bike mode, the phone will be set to Do Note Disturb Mode, while driving. This will turn off all the notifications, except for important calls. If someone calls you when you're riding the bike, a pre-recorded message will be sent to them telling that you're currently riding and can't attend the call.
Samsung is expected to release the S Bike mode feature to more Galaxy smartphones in the near future.
