LeEco Le Max 2 with Snapdragon 820 SoC, 6GB RAM goes official


In addition to Le 2 and Le 2 Pro, LeEco also announced the successor to the LeMax, the Le Max 2 in China. The Le Max 2 also ditches the 3.5mm audio jack, and gets USB Type-C loss-less audio interface, powered by  CDLA (Continual Digital Lossless Audio) standard. In addition, it comes with  Qualcomm Sense ID Ultrasonic fingerprint sensing technology on the back, that offers high level of accuracy and also works with wet hands.

The LeEco Le Max 2 features a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display with 95 percent NTSC color gamut and is powered by Qualcomm's quad-core Snapdragon 820 SoC clocked at 2.15GHz, coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 6GB RAM. On-board storage is 64GB which is non-expandable. There is another variant with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage.

For photography, the Le Max 2 sports a 21-megapixel Sony IMX230 rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, 6P lenses and f/2.0 aperture. For cliciking selfies and video calling you get a 8-megapixel front camera.

The dual-SIM phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EUI 5.5 on top. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE w/ VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n (2.4/5GHz MIMO), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and USB Type-C. It is fueled by 3100mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. 

The LeEco Le Max 2 is priced at CNY 2099 ($324 | Rs. 21,500) for the 4GB RAM/32GB storage model, while the 6GB RAM/64GB storage model costs CNY 2499 ($386 | Rs. 25,500). The Le Max 2 is now available for pre-order in China and will be available from April 26.
