Xiaomi Mi Note 2 possible specs leaked, to have 5.7-inch QHD display, 3D Touch, 6GB RAM
A rumor coming out of China, reveals the specification of Xiaomi's upcoming phablet, the Mi Note 2. The leaked specs suggest that Mi Note 2 will be the most powerful phone from the Chinese smartphone maker, as it will offer premium high-end specs.
If the leaked specs are true, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will sport a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2K) display and is said to come with 3D Force Touch capabilities, similar to the iPhone 6s/6s Plus. It will be equipped with Snapdragon 820 or 823 SoC, and come with 4GB/6GB RAM (variants) and internal storage option of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The report claims that there's a 256GB storage model of the Mi Note 2 in works.
For photography, the Mi Note 2 is rumored to sport a Sony IMX298 16-megapixel camera with OIS and 5-megapixel front snapper. It will be backed by 3600mAh battery with 18W Quick Charge support.
As for the pricing the report suggests that the Mi Note 2 will be priced around CNY 2999 ($465 | Rs. 30,000).
Earlier this months reports said the Mi Note 2 will sport a dual curved display, but the new report coming out of China does not mention this. The Mi Note 2 is expected to use Samsung's curved AMOLED displays and the report also said that Xiaomi has requested display samples from Samsung for the same. The report had also mentioned that the Mi Note 2 will not launch any time soon, as Xiaomi wants to maximize the sales of Mi 5 and Mi 5 Pro.
Do remember, Xiaomi is yet to officially have a say on the Mi Note 2, so until then take this report with a grain of salt.
