Earlier this year, Acer introduced the Chromebase 24 AIO PC, and now the company has launched a new Chromebase model in the US, Chromebase 24 for Meetings running Chrome OS, targeted at enterprise customers. Acer says that it is the first Chromebase for Meetings, that has been designed for small spaces and to offer clear video conferencing for corporate users.
The Acer Chromebase 24 for Meetings features a 24-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 178 degree wide viewing angles and is powered by Intel processor (unknown). It comes with 4 x microphones, 2 x speakers, an adjustable HD webcam and has Google's Hardware Video accelerator. It also supports 25-person Hangouts across a variety of devices including laptops, tablet or smartphone via meeting link.
The All-in-one PC also houses Ethernet port, HDMI port, 2 x USB port (one at front, other at back), microSD card reader, audio jack, and for wireless connectivity supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0.
The Acer Chromebase 24 for Meetings is priced at $799 (Rs. 53,000), which includes the first year's $250 management and support fee. In addition to the US, it will also be available in Canada, UK, Ireland and Australia.
