Samsung launches Galaxy Tab E Lite in Canada


Samsung has expanded its budget Galaxy tablet line-up, with the launch of Galaxy Tab E Lite. The tablet was launched in Canada alongside the Galaxy Tab A 7.0, which was listed on German website earlier this month. The tablet provides affordable and easy-to-use features for reading, watching video or doing work.

The Galaxy Tab E Lite features a 7-inch 1024 x 600 TFT display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor (likely to be Snapdragon 410 SoC), with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage (5.1GB user accessible), further expandable via microSD card.

The tablet comes with 2-megapixel rear camera, and there is no front facing camera. For connectivity, tere is WiFI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and micro-USB 2.0 support. It runs the dated Android 4.4 KitKat with the brand’s proprietary TouchWiz user interface on top and is fueled by 3600mAh battery, which promises nine hours of web browsing. 

The Galaxy Tab A 7 (2016) specs include 7-inch WXGA TFT display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt expandable storage, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and a 4000mAh battery. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E Lite is priced at $149.99 (Rs. 10,000) in Canada and will be available as of March 23. The Galaxy Tab A 7is priced at $199.99 and will also be available on March 23.
