LatestOne.com launches PTron VR headset for Rs. 1,499
Domestic mobile and tech accessories e-tailer earlier this week launched PTron mobile virtual reality (VR) headset. It is made of environmental-friendly durable ABS plastic and comes with adjustable lenses.
The VR headset is compatible with most Android and iOS smartphones with screen sizes between 4.7-inches to 6.1 inches. The brand claims that 90 percent of the smartphone in the market including iPhones will work with the VR headset.
It also comes with a wireless Bluetooth (3.0) remote controller, which doubles as gamepad, and can be used in several modes including horizzontal mode, vertical mode, arcade mode and mouse mode. The controller is compatible with iOS and Android (4.0 and up) devices.
You will be able to watch movies and play games via an deidacted app. The PTron VR headset is priced at Rs. 1,499, while the controller costs Rs. 799. The e-tailer is also offering the VR headset and remote control bundle package priced at Rs 1,999.

"I feel that Virtual Reality Headset adoption is currently at a minuscule level in India. I have seen many VR headsets like Sony, Samsung, HTC, OnePlus etc... but the cost is too high common man in India can't afford that price,what India needs are low-cost VR headsets compatible with low-cost smartphones. Only then will VR use truly explode in India.
