LYF outs Flame 2, Wind 4 4G smartphones with VoLTE


In March this year, Reliance Retails LYF brand announced Flame 2 and Wind 4 smartphones and revealed only the highlighting features. Now LYF has announced both the smartphones by listing on the company website, outing the full specs. Similar to other LYF branded smartphones, the Flame 2 and Wind 4 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, comes with dual-SIM slot and supports 4G LTE w/ VoLTE.

The LYF Flame 2 comes with 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6753M processor backed by Mali T720 GPU and 1GB RAM. On-board storage is 8GB, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). 

For photography it gets 5-megapixel rear camera (w/ LED flash) and 2-megapixel front facing camera. For connectivity, it supports 4G LTE (w/ VoLTE, 3G, WiFI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, and a 1500mAh battery keeps it running, which promises up to 7.5 hours of talk time and up to 190 hours of standby time.

The LYF Wind 4 on the other hand sports a bigger 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is equipped with 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor w/ Adreno 304 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, with storage expansion support via microSD card (up to 128GB). 

The camera department gets 8-megapixel rear camera w/ LED flash and 2-megapixel front camera. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE w/ VoLTE 3G, WiFI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It is backed by a massive 4000mAh battery which as per the brand promises to deliver up to 28 hours of talk time, up to 10 hours of video playback, and up to 630 hours of standby time. Also on-baord is DTS technology-powered speaker.

The LYF Flame 2 (Black, White colors) is priced at Rs. 4,799, while the Wind 4 (Black, Blue, Brown colors) is priced at Rs. 6,799. Both smartphone will be available to buy in retail stores across the country in the coming days.
