Micromax Canvas Selfie 4 with 8MP front camera announced


In addition to Bolt Selfie (priced at Rs. 4,999), Micromax also launched a new selfie-centric smartpohone under the Canvas seires called Canvas Selfie 4. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and unfortunately does not support 4G LTE connectivity, and the specs are below par. Micromax didn't share an image of the phone (the above image is of Canvas Selfie 3).

As the name suggests the handset is aimed at selfie lovers. It comes with 8-megapixel front facing camera. On the back there is also a 8-megapixel camera, accompanied by LED flash. The Canvas Selfie has Tap Sensor on the back that allows you to click a photo easily, swap camera from front to back or back to front with a single tap. By double tapping you'll be able to answer incoming calls.

Coming to other specs, the Canvas Selfie 4 comes with 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display and is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card (up to 32GB). The dual-SIM phone supports 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity, and is backed by a 2500mAh battery.

The Micromax Canvas Selfie 4 will go on sale next week, and will be available across offline channels. The pricing is not known yet.
