Moto G4 press image surfaces, passes FCC and may have Snapdragon 617 SoC


Motorola is likely to launch the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus on May 17 at an event in New Delhi, India. Now ahead of the official announcement new details of the both phones have surfaced online (Geekbench & FCC)  including press render of Moto G4 (via Evan Blass). As per the press render, the Moto G4 will have the same design as Moto G4 Plus, but will not have fingerprint scanner below the display.

Both the Moto G4 with model number XT1622 and Moto G4 Plus with model number XT1642 has passed through the FCC, while Geekbench reveals that the Moto G4 will come with Snapdragon 617 SoC and 3GB RAM. Earlier rumor suggested that Moto G4 will come with 2GB RAM, while Moto G4 Plus will come with 3GB RAM.

The Moto G4 and G4 Plus are expected to come with 5.5-inch 1080p display with Gorilla glass protection, 5MP front camera, 4G LTE, 16GB/32Gb storage, microSD card slot, dual-SIM slot, water resistant body, 3000mAh battery and runs Android Marshmallow. The Moto G4 will get 13MP camera, while the Moto G4 Plus will have 16MP camera, with dual tone LED flash on both devices.

Motorola has already confirmed that the Moto phones (Moto G4/G4 Plus) launching on May 17 will be exclusive to Amazon India. We shall know all the official details of the new Moto smartphones next Tuesday.
