Samsung Galaxy C5 is now official
After several leaks and rumors, Samsung has finally introduced its new C series smartphone in China, and the first member is the Galaxy C5. The phone has a HTC-like design and sports a metal body that measures 145.9 x 72 x 6.7mm and weighs 143g.
The Samsung Galaxy C5 comes with 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 617 processor backed by Adreno 405 GPU and 4GB RAM. It comes in two storage variants, 32GB or 64GB. The storage be increased via microSD card and the phone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
For photography, it gets 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and 8-megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity duties are handled by 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and GPS. It supports Samsung Pay and comes with fingerprint scanner, Hybrid dual-SIM slot, and is backed by 2600mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy C5 is price at CNY 2199 ($335 | Rs. 22,500) for the 32GB variant and CNY 2399 ($365 | Rs. 24,500) for the 64GB model. It comes in Gold, Pink Gold, Silver and Grey colors, and is now available for pre-order via several online stores in China and will go on sale starting June 6. It's unclear if Samsung will launch the Galaxy C5 in other markets.
