Samsung Galaxy C7 with 5.7-inch display, Snapdragon 625 SoC announced


Samsung along with Galaxy C5, has also announced that Galaxy C7 smartphone in China. Just like Galaxy C5, the Galaxy C7 sports a metal body, runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, comes with NFC support for Samsung Pay and has fingerprint scanners integrated to the home button. However the difference lies in the display, processor and battery department.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 comes with a bigger 5.7-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels display) and is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC (instead of 5.5-inch, Snapdragon 617 SoC on Galaxy C5) backed by Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB RAM. It also comes in two storage variants, 32GB and 64GB, which can be expanded via microSD card. 

The camera department includes 16-megapixel rear camera w/ dual-tone LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and for clicking selfies and video calling you get 8-megapixel front camera. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM slot and supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and NFC connectivity. It is fueled by 3300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.

The Samsung Galaxy C7 32GB variant is priced at CNY 2599 ($396 | Rs. 26,575) and the 64GB models costs CNY 2799 ($427 | Rs. 29,000). It comes in Gold, Pink, Silver and Grey colors. The availability details are not known yet.
