ZUK Z2 with 5-inch display, Snapdragon 820 SoC announced
Lenovo's sub-brand ZUK has has announced the ZUK Z2, a tonned down version of ZUK Z2 Pro in China. The phone sports an aluminum alloy body with 2.5D glass on front and back. It has a U-Touch 2.0 fingerprint sensor that is embedded in the home button and can unlock the phone in under 0.1 seconds.
The ZUK Z2 comes with 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) LTPS 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor further aided by Adreno 305 GPU and 4GB RAM. On-board storage is 64GB, and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with ZUI 2.0 on top and the brand has promised Android N update.
For photography, it gets 13-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 0.1s fast dual focus (PDAF + CAF), EIS, and 1.32um pixel size. For selfies you get 8-megapixel camera. The dual-SIM phone supports 4G LTE (w/ VoLTE), WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB 2.0 Type-C connectivity. It is fueled by 3500mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support that can charge the phone up to 80% in 100 minutes.
The ZUK Z2 is priced at CNY 1799 ($273 | Rs. 18,370) and will be available for purchase in China from June 7. ZUK also introduced a USB Type-C wireless charger for the Z2 priced at CNY 299 ($45 | Rs. 3,000), that can be used with a charging cover.
