Gione S6 Pro with MediaTek Helio P10 SoC, fingerprint scanner announced

Gionee has announced an upgraded model of the 6.9mm metal clad S6, the S6 Pro in China. The S6 Pro comes with a the same premium metal unibody build that's 7.6mm thick, but gets a new design (antenna lines, re-positioned camera), and now includes a fingerprint scanner, that is embedded into the home button, which was not present on Gionee S6.

Another difference is in the processing department, the S6 Pro is powered by MediaTek's Helio P10 SoC, instead of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 utilized by Gionee S6. Rest of the specs are similar.

The Gionee S6 Pro comes with 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, MediaTek Helio P10 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB inbuilt expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, 4G LTE support and 3130mAh battery. It runs Android Marshmallow based Amigo OS 3.2.

Priced at CNY 1999 ($300 | Rs. 20,000), the Gionee S6 Pro is now abvailable for purchase from tmall and official Gionee Shop in China. It comes in Rose Gold, Silver and Gold colors.
