Honor 5A launch set for June 12
Huawei sub-brand Honor after launching the Honor V8 with dual camera setup, is all set to launch its next smartphone dubbed Honor 5A on June 12 at an event in China. The Honor 5A specs are no mystery, as the handset received TENAA certification last month along with Honor 5A Plus.
According to TENAA, the Honor 5A will feature plastic body, 5-inch HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unknown chipset), 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt expandable storage, 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 4G LTE w/ VoLTE and 2200mAh battery. It will run Android 5.1 Lollipop with EMUI on top.
The Honor 5A Plus on the other hand is expected to come with a bigger 5.5-inch HD display, 1.8GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 8MP front camera and 3000mAh battery. Rest of the specs will be similar to Honor 5A. It is not known whether the Honor 5A Plus will be announced alongside. It is not known whether the Honor 5A Plus will be announced alongside.
Considering the specs the Honor 5A will be targeted at low-end market and can be expected to cost somewhere near $100 (Rs. 7,000).
