InFocus Buddy 13-inch Windows 10 laptop launched for Rs. 14,999
U.S based smartphone maker InFocus has launched a budget Windows 10 laptop in India called Buddy. The brand says that the laptop will cater core needs of youth such as browsing the web, multimedia, making presentations and portability.
The InFocus Buddy notebooks sports 13.3-inch 1366 x 768 display and is powered by 2.16GHz Intel Celeron N3050 Braswell series processor, further aided by Intel HD graphics and 2GB RAM. The laptop comes with 32GB internal storage and supports up to 256GB SSD storage expansion.
For connectivity there's 2 x USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, microSD card slot, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. It also has a webcam with mic and two speakers. It has a full-sized chiclet keyboard, a touch pad, and provides Intel's Identity Protection Technology and Windows 10 features like Cortana voice assistant, Edge web browser. The laptop is rated to deliver up to eight hours of battery life, weighs 1.6kg and is 18mm thick.
The InFocus Buddy is priced at Rs. 14,999 and is exclusively available on Snapdeal in Gold or Silver hues.
The low-end laptop market has been seeing some action of late. Recently Lenovo, Micromax and iBall have launched laptop with specs similar to InFocus Buddy. They include Lenovo's Ideapad 100s at Rs. 14,990, Micromax Canvas Lapbook L1160 at Rs. 10,499, and iBall's Compbook starting at Rs. 19,999. However, there are difference in the screen size and processor.
