Jide introduces Remix OS-Powered Tablet, All-in-one PC and PC Box


China based Jide is the developer of Remix OS, an operating system designed to run Android on PCs with multi-windows, file-manager and more. The company launched a tablet and mini PC running 2015, and over the past year, has partnered with other device makers to load Remix OS in their products.

Now Jide has unveiled its next-gen hardware, and announced its partnership with Acer. Jide's new devices include Remix Pro 2-in-1 tablet, AOC Mars All-in-One PC and a Remix OS-powered PC box

Jide Remix Pro 2-in-1 tablet
The Remix Pro is the company's second tablet and similar to last year's Remix Ultra, the tablet comes with a keyboard cover, allowing you to use it in tablet or desktop mode. The tablets comes with 12-inch 2160 x 1440 IPS display, octa-core Snapdragon 652 SoC, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt expandable storage (via microSD card), 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The tablet supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth, runs Remix OS 3.0 based on Android Marshmallow and packs 9000mAh battery.

It's worth noting that Remix OS offers a Windows PC like user interface, including desktop, taskbar, app launcher, file manager, multi window and more. It supports Google Play store and you can download and install apps from it (Chrome, YouTube, Facebook, etc.), however, not all apps are supported.




AOC Mars All-in-one PC
Jide has expanded the AOC built Mars All-in-One PC line up with the addition of 22-inch and 32-inch models, besides the 24-inch model that was introduced in May. The specs will be the same including Full HD screen, quad-core Amlogic S905 ARM Cortex-A53SoC w/ Mali 450 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB/64GB storage, 2 x HDMI ports, 4 x USB ports and Ethernet Jack. However, the new models run Android Marshmallow based Remix OS 3, instead of Remix OSv2.

Jide PC Box
Jide PC Box comes with octa-core Rockchip RK3368 ARM Cortex-A53 processor w/ Mali 450 GPU, up to 2GB RAM, up to 16GB eMMC storage, microSD card slot, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 2 x USB Type-A port, 10/100 Ethernet and HDMI 2.0 port. The Remix OS box is still under development, and instead of offering it under Jide brand, the company pans to offer it to OEM, to sell them under their name.

All the new Jide products will be initially released in China, and might expand to more markets in near future. pricing is not known just yet.
