Acer unveils Remix OS powered Aspire ES1-131 laptop

Jide in addition to unveiling Remix Pro 2-in-1 tablet, AIO PC and a PC Box, the company partnered with Acer to launch the Asprie ES1-131 laptop with Remix OS. By partnering with Acer, a well established brand in the laptop market, Jide will look to expand Remix OS adaptability and tap in new partners.

The Acer Aspire ES1-131 is actually a Windows powered laptop, but the new version will come with Remix OS, which is optimized to work like a desktop operating system with taskbar, multiple windows support and more.

The Aspire ES1-131 is an affordable laptop that comes with 11.6-inch 1366 x 768 display, Intel Celeron N3150 quad-core Braswell processor, 4GB RAM and 500GB HDD. For connectivity there's Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. Note that the laptop is Jide's first with an Intel processor to ship with Remix OS.

Jide said that the Remix OS version of ES1-131 is a concept laptop that will be released on a limited basis initially in China.
