Microsoft Windows 10 Anniversary update might arrive on August 2
Microsoft in a blog post have accidentally revealed the release date for the upcoming ‘anniversary’ update to Windows 10. The blog post included only a headline and no body that read “Microsoft announces Windows 10 anniversary update available Aug. 2”.
The Redmond giant have since removed the post. This means that the post was either inaccurate, or Microsoft intended to announce the released date at a later time.
Microsoft at Build 2016 announced that Windows 10 users will be able to download the free Anniversary Update sometime this summer. Windows 10's Anniversary update will bring improvements such as Windows Ink, Windows Hello for PCs, and better Cortana experience.
Windows 10 was launched on July 29, 2015, and the OS has since surpassed over 300 million installations. Windows 10 was made available to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users as a free update till July 29 after which it will cost $119 (Rs. 8,000).
